Original Post: This private sculpture garden along Oatka Creek in LeRoy is a woodland haven where Adriana ippel-Slutzky’s beautiful sculptures are set within a unique, secluded garden space created by the artist and her husband, Jack Slutsky who passed away in 2016. Adriana incorporates ancient symbols and powerful forms in a way that defies categorization. The sculptures focus on the mystery and power of human relationships, especially as expressed in the female form. Adriana uses a variety of media, primarily welded steel wrapped with layers of cement and acylic/polymers which allow fluid, emotional and expressive shapes. An afternoon at this amazing garden transports you to an exotic world where art and nature become one. Adriana’s husband, Jack Slutzky — a well-known designer and artist in his own right — leads tours of the outdoor museum/garden ending in a presentation by Adriana, who shares her ideas, techniques and vision with her visitors. Hi Jean Marie,
I called the studio, and unfortunately there is only one more tour this summer and it is completely booked. They do tours in June, July and early August, when the gardens are at their peak. Right now the blooms have begun to fade. Tours are free and they do not accept donations. I hope you’ll have a chance to visit next year.
